Terms of Service

Please read the following terms and service carefully. These terms and service are a contract between you with TrueRelic. By visiting our website at www.TrueRelic.net or ordering an inspection with TrueRelic, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and service. The rights and obligations in your agreement with TrueRelic are personal to you, and not transferable to another party. You must be at least 18 years old to order an inspection with TrueRelic. If you are under 18 years old or if you do not agree to these Terms and Service you are not authorized to use this Website.

  • 1. Nature of TrueRelic Inspections When you place your order with TrueRelic, you are hiring us to evaluate the overall condition of the designated guitar, based on what our inspectors can subjectively observe electronically. TrueRelic inspectors do not physically see or hold the guitar. The TrueRelic service is a virtual inspection of all reasonably accessible items only, and some problems may not be observable during the inspection. The TrueRelic inspector is solely relying on videos, images, and written information electronically obtained from the guitar seller. Once the inspection is completed, you will receive a link to the inspector’s report, along with a gallery of images of the guitar. As some guitar defects and issues can only be found by physically inspecting the guitar, we do recommend to complement the TrueRelic inspection with a physical one by a local luthier.
  • 2. TrueRelic Service Limited to Inspection TrueRelic performs inspection services only. TrueRelic is not affiliated with the seller of the guitar and does not take a position on whether you should, or should not, purchase the guitar. TrueRelic does not verify that the seller has the legal right to sell the guitar. TrueRelic is not responsible for any representations made by the seller or any other party.
  • 3. Inspection Is Not An Insurance Policy or Warranty An inspection does not act as a warranty or as an insurance policy for any guitar. You acknowledge and agree that if you purchase any guitar inspected by TrueRelic, you are fully responsible for all costs for repairs and maintenance on your guitar, whether or not covered by any other insurance policy or warranty. You acknowledge and agree that the decision to purchase any guitar remains your own responsibility and that you are responsible for determining whether a guitar is under warranty or properly insured.
  • 4. Guitar Remains “As Is” Because the guitar being inspected is a “used” guitar, you agree that, even after inspection, you will be purchasing the guitar in an “as is” condition, unless otherwise warranted by the seller. Because a guitar’s condition may change between the time the inspection is conducted and the actual purchase of the guitar, we recommend having the inspection completed as close in time to the purchase as possible. The TrueRelic report is not a substitute for any safety inspection that may be required by applicable laws. You acknowledge and agree that the TrueRelic inspection does create any warranty for any guitar you may purchase and that your right to recover for any defects in the guitar, whether or not disclosed in the TrueRelic report, is limited to any warranty the seller may offer.
  • 5. Factors Affecting Inspections TrueRelic inspections may be affected by photography light conditions, as well as the cleanliness of the guitar, both inside and out, at the time of the inspection. In addition, the seller’s attitude and trustworthiness plays a huge factor in the inspection. Many external factors, beyond our control, can reduce the accuracy of the inspection, making things such as repainting and body work difficult to detect with online images and video. For the most accurate inspection report, the guitar must be clean, and situated in well-lit location at the time of inspection. In addition the seller is expected to be forthcoming and to provide all the required information in good faith. However, TrueRelic does not agree to take any steps or actions affecting the guitar’s condition at the time of the inspection nor the seller’s attitude. TrueRelic strongly suggests that you contact the seller and make all necessary accommodations to ensure that the seller approaches the process positively, that the guitar is as clean as possible and available in a suitable location for an electronic photography and video.
  • 6. When you place your Appraisal order with TrueRelic, you are hiring us to evaluate the market value of the designated guitar, based on what our inspectors can subjectively observe electronically. Appraisals are carried out with the current market in mind. TrueRelic does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information on the appraisal in question, and will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of anyone’s relying on this information. TrueRelic inspectors do not physically see or hold the guitar. The TrueRelic service is a virtual inspection of all reasonably accessible items only, and some problems may not be observable during the evaluation. The TrueRelic inspector is solely relying on videos, images, and written electronic information. The appraisal is not an inspection nor an authentication of the guitar. We recommend you complement the appraisal with our inspection and authentication services and with advice from a luthier who can physically inspect the guitar.
  • 7. When you place your serial number lookup analysis order with TrueRelic, you are hiring us to evaluate only the guitar’s serial number and not the guitar itself. TrueRelic does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information on the analysis in question, and will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of anyone’s relying on this information. TrueRelic inspectors do not physically see or hold the guitar. The TrueRelic serial number lookup service is a virtual service and some issues or items may not be observable during the lookup. The TrueRelic inspector is solely relying on the serial number provided to us electronically by you. The lookup service is not an inspection, nor an authentication of the guitar, and we do recommend to complement it with our inspection and authentication services as well as advice from a local luthier who can inspect the guitar physically.
  • 8. When you place your authentication order with TrueRelic, you are hiring us to evaluate the overall authenticity of the designated guitar, based on what our inspectors can subjectively observe electronically. TrueRelic does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information on the inspection in question, and will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of anyone’s relying on this information. TrueRelic inspectors do not physically see or hold the guitar. The TrueRelic service is a virtual inspection of all reasonably accessible items only, and some problems may not be observable during the inspection. The TrueRelic inspector is solely relying on videos, images, and written electronic information. As some guitar defects and issues can only be found by physically inspecting the guitar, we do recommend to complement the TrueRelic inspection with a physical one by a local luthier.
